New To Libertarianism
I have been trying to find an ideology I can align myself most to for years now and I finally think i’ve landed in the place.
Obviously being a human, we have our own feelings about niche topics and i’m curious is this is enough to unalign me with libertarianism from the perspective of a libertarian
I 100% agree with the philosophy of Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell on how to handle the economy. I’ve read many of their works and I’m a very big fan of this major anti-intervention thought process when it comes to most things. Essentially I feel the people always will know whats best for themselves more than any government can.
I do, however, agree with Sowell that there ARE places government intervention does have a place. Namely: climate, military, foreign affairs and maybe foreign trade (probably some others im leaving out). I also agree on local regulation that is agreed upon by local communities and even state level laws that are agreed on by the people.
I do believe in having a strong military but I am very anti war.
I dont have an issue with taxation but ideally it would be less after all of the excess govt. programs are cut
Do my differences amount too much to unalign me from this party?
