/r/libertarian subreddit bans
A buddy of mine was banned from this sub today and, when he asked why, he was muted.
I’d be more than happy to link his profile so the users here can make the determination for themselves as to if the ban was justified, but I’m worried it would be considered witch hunting and I would get banned. He’s in this list as “brigading,” https://modlogs.fyi/r/Libertarian?actions=all,banuser, which seems like an interesting permanent ban reason for someone who has posted in this subreddit for years.
The rules wiki detail ban appeals, and I found this thread voting on ban appeals, but it hasn’t been updated in three months.
Years ago this sub slipped into a echo chamber where bans were handed out left and right. I want to make sure the mods here are accountable and aren’t banning wrongthink as has happened in the past.
Why hasn’t the ban and appeal thread been updated in three months? Can we get some transparency on bans? There’s been a ton in the last 3 months and yet the ban appeal thread hasn’t surfaced in that time.
Edit: I’m now receiving messages from people stating they’ve been banned and muted from here without explanation…
