Can we actually do something people?
Everything in our Bill of Rights has been violated. Business owners and private schools aren’t allowed to deny service based on racism or sexism, “disorderly conduct” is used to arrest protesters or anyone who hurts the ego of a cop, the right to bear arms has been heavily infringed, no-knock warrants are basically death sentences, law enforcement officers have superior rights on and off duty, the Patriot Act throws out the right to privacy and due process, our money is literally being stolen in the form of taxes (pentagon has “lost” 30 trillion, congress votes on their own salary and they make twice as much as the average American, basically every way our taxes is spent is a scam ;eg our roads are still awful and construction takes 3x as long as it should…). I could probably keep going but I’ve listed more than enough human right violations to justify civil disobedience.
I know I’m preaching to the choir but can we please get together and stand up instead of just talking about it or being defeatists? At least 10 percent of our country is waiting for permission from Texas to have a rebellion, which just goes to show how sheep-like our population is. I’m not inciting violence, I’m saying we need to do SOMETHING. We need to tell our government that our rights are not up for debate, or controlled by public opinion. We are not an oligarchy or democracy, we are a republic and no number of “representatives” get to vote our rights away. Armed, peaceful protests are a good start, let’s frickn organize one. Where better to start than a libertarian subreddit? Who’s with me, for the love of God?!
