Will “Little Marco” explain, “What Peace Process”?
Writes Patrick Foy:
Tufts doctoral student, Ms. Rumeysa Ozturk, has been ordered released from a Louisiana ICE detention center. Hurrah! You may recall her kidnapping off the street in Somerville, Massachusetts some weeks ago. What a lovely country.
What was her crime? She co-wrote an op-ed in the college newspaper in support of the Palestinians. That’s it. A thought crime.
Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State, is the front man who ordered and is justifying her abduction and that of other foreign students who have dared to criticize Israel’s ongoing genocide taking place Gaza. Little Marco’s argument is that such conduct (exactly like the once-peaceful protests at Columbia) endangers U.S. foreign policy “goals”.
I’d love to know what this little man thinks those magnificent goals are. As we know, U.S. foreign policy, such as it is, is subordinated to Israel’s. That was true under Genocide “clueless” Joe and is even more so, if this is possible, under Donald “Israel First” Trump.
