What caused North Carolina to join United States
I know NC initially rejected the Constitution at the state ratifying convention, and they joined a couple years later, but I don’t know how that happened. I assume there had to have been a second convention. A lot of the state ratifications were really shady. There aren’t even documented votes breakdowns from some of the States. Was NC somehow strong armed or coerced into ratifying it, or were people genuinely convinced into voting to join? Can anyone either explain this to me or point me towards a resource that can? submitted by /u/REDCOATBOT [link] [comments]
