Libertarian Party platform?
I had a very lengthy discussion with my friend today about the platform of the Libertarian Party. It is to my current understanding it ranges anywhere from mutualists to anarcho-capitalists.
Now the crux of the argument was about China. We all hate the CCP. He said that the platform is stupid and moronic because of its principle to keep out of foreign affairs and that the trade war is better than going to war (which he also says will inevitably nuclear).
Other things like decriminalizing of recreational drugs, abolishment of social security and the libertarian version of UBI, subsidies etc have also been mentioned.
So my question is, how would you refute the China problem? What is realistic and ethical enough to accomplish? Am I missing some big caveat or rebuttal?
Please don’t link the website for the platform, I think I’ve read it throughly enough to understand their positions.
