Food for thought: Gatekeeping and whataboutism are unproductive.
This comic reminded me that these are a pervasive problem here. Don’t be like the hat guy.

Your point that the world contains multiple problems is a real slam-dunk argument against fixing any of them.
Sometimes, the smaller problems need to be tackled first, either because the bigger problems are dependent on the smaller ones, or because the bigger ones are practically unsolvable. We need to make progress in the places we can, and leave the things we can’t solve for another day. Otherwise, nothing good will happen.
