With regards to my body, my choice and the idea around it, any form of governmental action to force a view point on medical procedures is wrong and not constitutional.
Honestly, I find the argument hypocritical on both political spectrum. Republicans are actively saying, the vaccine should be a choice, but abortion is wrong and women shouldn’t have the choice. Democrats are saying “Women’s rights are human rights,” but then actively shame people who choose not to get the vaccine whether medical, religious, or governmental trust issues. Truth is all medical procedures should between patient and doctor, not patient and government. In both cases, not having a choice could result in the harm of patients where these procedures are medically not okay for the minority of people. Abortion is a case of the health of mom, needing to terminate because of an underlying health problem resulting in moms life being in jeopardy and/or a still born child. Vaccines/Covid can harm people who have severe allergic reactions or compromised immune systems ie; cancer, autoimmune disorders, allergies, or over active immune systems. It’s either all medical procedures are a choice with active decision making, or none of them are. Neither Democrats or Republicans can seem to decide and are breaking discrimination laws, disability laws, and not a single person is blinking an eye to the hypocritical argument of these topics.
Anyone defending either point, neither cares for the health and safety of others or a libertarian freedom. Both actions from Texas on abortion law and the federal government vaccine mandates have paved way for authoritarian governments. Open your eyes, both parties are damaging our rights as Americans.
Tl;Dr Defending any and all laws that determine your healthcare and medical procedures, is not being pro choice. You’re a hypocrite.
