You can support the right without supporting the decision
I figured I would share in the midst of the Texas abortion law.
You can support a Woman’s right to choose while not supporting the decision. I have been in threads unequivocally stating I support the choice in the context of governance, but don’t support it from a personal standpoint.
Saying you support the choice, but think it’s a crappy thing to do doesn’t restrict someone’s rights in any way. The movement should focus more on ensuring there is an acknowledgement of choice as opposed to trying to change someone’s perception of it being right or wrong.
If more people had this stance, this wouldn’t be an issue. There’s nothing wrong with separating your personal feelings towards something from how you think the land ought to be governed. I suggest all involved try to do the same.
