WORK OR DIE? Libertarian take on “the right to life”
On page 84-85, Boaz, in his book “The Libertarian Mind” comes to this conclusion regarding the “right to life”, and it goes:
the means of survival, i.e food, shelter, clothing, medical care and to some extend worker rights, should not be at all costs provided to you as doing so will infringe on the ownership rights of others.
Now what I asked myself is this:
I am presuming that you should have a fair chance of earning these things, and how do you earn the means of survival? By exchanging your labour for money a.k.a getting a job.
What do you think of this? Am I terribly wrong and fucking stupid? Am I not seeing something? Please comment your thoughts I really want to learn!
