If you physically attack a person because you dislike their political ideas, you might be injured or killed. And it will be a good thing

It’s true even if the person is a literal nazi (with swastikas and stuff), and even if the scumbag wants your entire ethnicity to be exterminated.

Why?

Firstly, because freedom of speech includes the speech you strongly dislike, and the obviously harmful speech. If you try to censor it, it makes you worse than him.

Secondly, because a physical attack (even if provoked by a hate speech) gives the person a right to defend themselves. If you attack them, they have the moral right (and in some places – the legal right) to injure or even kill you.

A physical attack in such situation makes you worse than him.

Surprisingly many people don’t understand it.
