Libertarians did phenomenal in this election.

At the time of writing, 1.6 million votes for Jorgensen. That’s huge for a 3p candidate in modern US elections. So, so promising for the end of the same 2 party system of lesser evils.

Of note:

38k votes for Jorgensen in Wisconsin, where Biden won by 25k votes.

11k votes in Nevada, where Biden and Trump are currently 8k votes away from each other.

Best believe both parties will be looking at the libertarian voters and wondering how to attract them next election. YOU ARE THE SWING VOTERS. Never let it be said that voting 3p is a wasted vote!!!

Edit: as many sharp minds noted in the comments, I forgot about Johnson’s 4.4m votes in 2016. Lower than 2020 turnout. I wonder why…
