Can’t Libertarian Candidates at least try to look like they want the job?
So, I finally got my ballot and I’m doing my research on the candidates, and when it comes to the downballot libertarian candidate I keep seeing the same things:
No one seems to submit anything to Ballotpedia, some didn’t even submit to the voter’s pamphlet, and the ones who did used the space to rant about democrats and republicans rather than outline what they’d actually do or what they support.
Gary Dye sounded frankly hysterical in the voter pamphlet, literally “a Great, Great Depression is in your future”. He says he has a “stepwise” “compassionate” plan, but then doesn’t say anything about what that plan is, just went on for paragraphs about how the country is falling apart. Not exactly inspiring confidence there.
But he’s still did better than Matthew Rix, who apparently couldn’t get off his ass to submit anything to the voter pamphlet. In fact the the only information I could find on who he is and what he stands for was a facebook page that said “vote Jo Jo” and “remember to vote”.
This is not what being a serious candidate looks like. This is what turning off potential voters looks like.
