I’m tired of the response I get from saying I want to vote Libertarian
As with most moderates who favor small government I’m SO tired of the current American 2 party political system. These two parties are becoming increasingly radical and if you find yourself in the middle you’re basically told to go f*** yourself. In this election especially, everytime I say I’m voting third party I’m met with looks of disgust, especially from those on the far left, though I have seen it from both sides.
I get told how my vote basically doesn’t count for anything, or even better how I’m basically voting for the other candidate, depending on the party of the person I’m talking to. I’m told how dare I vote for third party even though I know my candidate won’t win, because the fate of democracy and our very country is apparently at stake. I’ve explained my position so many times I’ve just resorted to rolling my eyes into the back of my head and simply just stop listening.
I’ve had people who I thought were good friends start to resent me just because I won’t vote for their candidate. Also, don’t even get me started on the cesspool that social media has become.
How are some of y’all dealing with this toxic climate that has become US politics??
