how do americans trust their government with the death penalty?
I’m canadian from the third world country formerly know as canada. and after eight years of justin trudeau my views on the death penalty have completly changed. I used to be supportive of zeroing criminals, but after seeing how trudeau has made ordinary citizens into criminals just for defending their rights. the idea of the government killing “criminals” just because the government says so, seems risky to me. my greatest fear is trudeau simply labeling his political opponents as “criminals” and legalizing the death penalty so he can kill all his opponents.
so how the hell do americans trust their government with the death penalty, given all the nonsense the us government gets up to?
