Using democracy as a platform YEA or NAH?
I’m not saying real change will come from parlementary democracy, but we can use democracy as a platform for our ideals and ideas. Many libertarians see the danger of politics, but struggle greatly at forming a concrete anser to how we can turn the tides. If I had a penny for every Libertarian waiting for some revolution to happen or something I’d buy us bulldozer.
But all jokes aside, we have to organise as a movement if we don’t want to end up like Ruby Ridge or those countless others who thought they could just retreat to the wilderness and be left alone, and the truth is most people won’t take our movement seriously without a competent and relevant formal represention. Getting a Libertarian party to be able to shift the balance in an election can be that relevant representation we can use to spread Libertarianism.
