American Revolution started because of tea ax today our govt taxes us more than they do in London

Just a random thought I had today. Originally America was founded as an independent nation to be free from the taxation of the British. But look at these snapshots of the amount of taxes you pay as an American with a 100K annual salary vs a British person living in London, their most expensive city. Note the take-home pay on the London tax is lower because I used dollars not pounds. Just look the at tax amount converted we pay about an extra 1K.
