Regulation of AI
I read a summary of the Congress hearing on AI, and some interesting ideas were brought up about possible regulation and the creation of a new agency.
My gut says no to new agencies, but I agree that AI is creating a lot of problems in academics and creative realms. One possible rule was something along the lines of “no self replicating or self exfiltrating AI”
I guess the free market could adjust to the new technology in the way it did to the internet, but this feels far more extreme in regards to the use of others intellectual property for learning and in regards to costing creative jobs.
Any thoughts on what to do with AI like ChaptGPT from the “standard” libertarian view?
