What do libertarians think about the general reactions that people have after tragedies like these?
Obviously, what happened today in my home state of Texas was tragic. I think we can all agree that events like these happen way too often, and every time they do we see the same reactions over and over.
“When will we act to stop gun violence?”
“We need common sense gun laws.”
“Any politician who opposes gun reform has blood on their hands today.”
I understand the frustration, but I’m wondering how I should respond to somebody that is convinced that “we must do something”. I’m also wondering how y’all think politicians who oppose gun reform should address these tragedies.
