Ranked choice voting?

I see posts here sometimes about this, and often in favor.

I’m considering using it for an argument topic for a school assignment. Can anyone recommend some strong arguments, or favorite sources to cite, for or against this?

I’m not seeing a lot of non opinion information in my research, interested to hear your thoughts. Thank you.
