Accepting money from the government doesn’t exclude you from being a Libertarian
But Elon Musk gets money from the government!! He can’t be a libertarian!!
- Elon and his companies have likely had more money taken from them in taxes than any “subsidies” he has received. If someone robs you, you have a right to get that money back plus compensation for your lost time and effort.
- You are not required to act morally to an entity that doesn’t act morally. i.e. If someone believes they have a right to rob you at will then you have no obligation to act morally towards them. You are not immoral if you rob someone who believes robbery is o.k. e.g. The government does not operate with the consent of every individually. Mutual consent is required between interacting moral agents.
Every tax victim should be exerting every effort to prevent their property from being taken from them by government and they should be actively looking for ways to get the money that was taken from them back from the government.
