Is it principled to donate to institutions that are mostly taxpayer-funded? Ex.: libraries.

I rather like libraries, and while there are exceptions, most libraries are taxpayer funded.

Is it… (ethical, principled, consistent with a minarchist perspective, etc.) to make a monetary or in-kind donation that supports an institution that is primarily taxpayer-funded?
