I just wonder what other people think about what Greg Abbott is doing to Transgender kids in Texas.
For personal background, I’m transgender and 22 years old I transitioned when I was 18 because my mom was scared of the changes so opt for me to transition when I was 18. So , I started HRT( hormone replacement therapy) when I was 18-20 then took a year break due to financial difficulties then from 21- now. I grew up in Texas my whole life and people are really chill. I mean in Middle School when i first came out as being not straight I was bullied and molested in high school after I came out . But I feel like those we’re just shitty people and have nothing on Texas as a whole . Mostly everyone is pretty open in my small group of friends and my family who is very religious supported me from the beginning and even bought me mens clothes. I feel like with everyone pronouns are hard , especially if you aren’t “passing” and I dont pass as male but it doesn’t bother me as much as it used too when I was younger. Anyways back to Abbott . I wonder if this will just divide people even more on trans issues, when I think the U.S should be concerned about so many other things than what the news is promoting right now. I mean even if Greg Abbott passes this shit I mean trans people will magically not disappear we will just get better at hiding it or not come out. I feel like this is just propaganda. But my mom is a hardcore liberal and wanted to show me this. I’m sceptical If this will be a big deal like with abortion or not. What do you think?
Edit: Sorry my spelling and grammar is shit I’m high rn lol
