Should our prison system make it difficult to commit suicide while incarcerated? Why or why not? Is your answer any different inside the prison system than outside it? (Epstein caveat: Assume that we continue to be vigilant against homicide made to appear like suicide.)
This question came up when I saw news reports that Crumbley and parents are on suicide watch.
There might be some prisoners we want to keep alive because they have useful information, like people in a terror cell, mafia underlings, or spies. I can see a reason to keep them alive. What about others?
