Everyone is welcome here (almost)
Everyone’s got a little libertarian in them.
Libertarian thought exists even within political parties and ideologies that you don’t associate with libertarianism. You may think Marxism has nothing to do with libertarian thought but proper Marxists are more pro-gun than most liberals. Even if someone doesn’t identify themselves with being a libertarian they will have libertarian avenues of thought on some subjects.
Also remember that libertarianism isn’t anarchy so there is assumed to be some government. How much and for what is a matter of debate. And there is also debate as to where the lines are drawn in terms of where your hand ends and the next person’s nose begins like in abortion or environmentalism.
That’s because while there is a Libertarian party and people who call themselves libertarians, at its heart libertarianism is an ideology. A philosophy. A set of values. Everyone has something to say about libertarianism, either for or against it, because it is part of most people’s beliefs to some degree even if just a little. So everyone is welcome here to talk about it.
Except for hive mind transhumanists. Fuck those guys.
Edit: Yes, libertarianism CAN be anarchy. Very good, I’m glad you got that out of your system. Doesn’t negate the point.
