Discussing politics with non-voters
So, this may seem like a no brainer- but how do you discuss politics with people who don’t vote? Presumably, everyone in this subreddit is American which means we all (should) vote. However, I noticed in this last election there were HEAVY opinions from all sides and when the conversation came down to voting…. Most of the people I know said they weren’t going to. I was not shocked, but disappointed. and then they went on to not vote…
Anyways. As of our local elections, a lot of colleagues are bringing up these topics and I really just want to ask them to kindly shut the fuck up considering their absentee vote status. In my opinion, there is no room for discussion if you didn’t do your civic duty. Is this fair, just, and libertarian-like of me? Of course I won’t be using this verbiage.
