Argentine ancap candidate, Javier Milei, gets 17% and earns a place in congress
Javier Milei is an Austrian economist and self-proclaimed anarcho-capitalist and “short-term minarchist”. After getting 13% of votes in the first round of the elections in September, he has now gotten 17.03% in the final round in Buenos Aires City’s legislative elections, thus earning a place in congress as a national deputy. He also got another person from his party into congress, and 5 deputies for the city of Buenos Aires.
More good news is that libertarian candidate, José Luis Espert, got 7.51% in the Buenos Aires province elections, climbing up from around 4% last elections. He got into congress as a national deputy together with two other candidates.
Other libertarian candidates across the country got a sizeable amount of votes, but not enough to make it into the national congress.
