When is it ok to infringe on the right of an individual to bear arms?
I am one of those conservative libertarian types who thinks it should be completely legal for me to purchase a belt-fed machine gun for personal use. My problem is reconciling my desire that everything should be legal as long as it doesn’t infringe on others with my practical side which thinks the average citizen should not be able to own a tactical nuke. It’s an extreme example but where do we draw the line? Should Sarin gas be available? How about just mustard gas? How about 10 tons of ANFO? How about 1 ton of ANFO? What about a single grenade? Do y’all approve or disapprove of the 1934 NFA?
I would love some of the libertarians here to sound off on where you personally stand and why. I don’t have a formed opinion here yet and would love some other viewpoints.
