Can the state and the people ever be one and the same?
I have been thinking about this after making this post and how I would consider it would be more appropriate for the people to overthrow a corporation than a government to regulate them, since I am very against government regulation. On to the question, I would say the state can never truly represent all the people and even if it had a 100% approval rating you would almost certainly still have people who might disagree about some policy points. Therefore I would say the state, even when it is designed to represent all the people, will never truly be the same as the people, even in a perfect world.
