The right to abortion is because ones bodily autonomy overrides your capacity to maintain another. I think we need to revisit the case of the violinist
You can believe that life begins at conception, and still be pro-choice. I’ve been seeing way too many arguments on the subject say life begins at conception and leaves it there as if it’s the final say.
When the violinist argument is done in full, it’s very hard to even mount a claim against it that isn’t morally dubious. The best presentation I’ve seen so far is done by the amazing actress, philosopher, and YouTuber Philosophy Tube (aka Abigail Thorn). They present the the argument of the violinist as well as a bonus taking down a peg of Ben Shapiro. The acting is superb and also gets the point across very well.
