Pro-life libertarians: a fetus, when it is not viable without the woman, is not an individual. CMV
If libertarianism is about supporting individual rights, we can agree that a fetus that can survive without its mother is an individual and thus deserves to be protected. Before then, however, the fetus cannot survive without the woman’s body and as such does not qualify as an individual.
As cruel as it sounds, banning abortions at that point would provide the state undue influence over the woman’s personal decisions and privacy.
