Free society to treat people as bad as you want.
I was working for Jake Smith of Baby Jakes Pizza, Davison MI, and I delivered a pizza to and old lady who clearly couldn’t take care of herself and didn’t have enough money to cover the pizza, and we wouldn’t accept her bridge card. I offered to pay the 12 bucks for the pizza, and I told my boss I would pay for it with my tips for the night. After that I noticed he started treating me differently, he asked me for my store key, saying “he didn’t have enough, and needed it for opening”(which made sense since I never opened or closed) then he asked me if I owned any guns, as if I was the psychopath in this situation, so clearly he knew he was doing me dirty if he even had the remote idea that my response would be to “go postal”. So anyways, the next weekend I go on vacation, and he fires me via voicemail message, and when I came back in and tried to talk to him he couldn’t give me a reason, he just yelled at me and threatened to call the cops if I didn’t leave. A friend of mine went up there sometime later and asked him why he fired me, and he said his response was “I was giving away free pizzas” … I only ask how we can justify employers being able to treat employees so terribly? Why not start a dialogue if there is an issue? Still no real explanation why it had to go down this way. I did finally get half cocked apology in a chat message where he misspelled my 4 letter name. Then just runs and hides and has facebook ban my accounts every time I try to voice my story and frustration. I mean who wants to be treated like this constantly by your boss and have absolutely no recourse? I can’t even post online without being silenced, if people don’t wanna hear my complaining then block me, because I can’t even use my first amendment right to complain about this without being banned. It’s very obvious that companies and businesses matter far more than any individual person. But if you can’t stand me posting the truth and running my mouth then don’t treat people like that. It’s not hard! I have to live with the consequences of trying to be a good person, why can’t you live with the consequences of being a horrible person who only helps in hurting his community further?
