The Beauty of Libertarianism
“You can do whatever the fuck you want, as long as it doesn’t hurt others.”
This core principle of Libertarianism is the ultimate guideline for everything. It is more powerful & far simpler than any religious book ever existed.
It covers all those stealing is theft, lying is bad, don’t treat people differently based on their sex, nationality, profession, etc & other moral things perfectly.
I myself remember it as a guideline almost everyday. Everyday when I see some really weird things happening in the world & people doing them. I use this to make my reaction. For e.g. I saw a news with student lead Onlyfans seminar. Now I immediately thought that is the shittiest things to do & those people were fucked up.
But then when I remember this one simple sentence, i realize that it doesn’t fucking matter to me what other people are doing. Like it really doesn’t. Even though i don’t like it myself, i shouldn’t prohibit others from doing it. And then my no-reason madness for those people also fades away.
Same goes for people getting billionaires & trillionaires, they didn’t point gun to people’s head to steal their money, people paid willingly for their services & products, neither it is the case that workers didn’t work with them with consent. So it doesn’t fucking my business how rich they are or to define if their is wealth excess.
I just want to appreciate this beauty of Libertarianism. That’s it.
