I believe Kyle Rittenhouse is not a murderer.

Let me start off by saying I see that he did a lot of things wrong. He shouldn’t have had the gun before he was legally allowed to own one. We all agree on that part so calm down.

I have looked at the situation objectively and neutrally. I examined the facts and evidence of the videos of what happened.

After all of my research I have come to the conclusion that Kyle Rittenhouse was defending himself. Let me explain how I came to this conclusion.

1. The first man Kyle shot was also illegally armed and had attempted to harm Kyle previously. The man used a handgun to threaten, intimidate, and then even fired a shot at Kyle before Kyle had to defend himself. The man was also a convicted sex offender, while that doesn’t really pertain to this situation it certainly speaks to his character and his lack of value to society.

2. The second person Kyle had to defend himself against was in the process of attempting to assault him with a skateboard. A skateboard could viably be considered a deadly weapon which gives Kyle justification since he was reasonably in fear of his life.

I believe Kyle should be charged and found guilty of the weapons charges. Nobody reasonable would deny that Kyle broke the law and possessed the gun he was carrying illegally. However he used the gun he was illegally carrying to legally defend himself. Therefore I believe that any other charges should be dismissed or he should be acquitted of.
