If small government and minimal regulations are good for the economy, why are blue states richer on average than red states?
I know a common response will be “the cost of living is lower in red states so that offsets the increased wages”, but I’d like to point out that human development is also higher in blue states. Life expectancy and education is higher on average, and poverty rates are lower.
