Talk of a new “Patriot party”

There has been a lot of talk of a “Patriot Party” which essentially follows Trump. From what I’m seeing so far, there have been thousands of Republicans (state parties) leaving to claim themselves as independents, hoping to form a third party for Trump. Where does that leave the Libertarian party? For months the LP has thought of itself as the viable 3rd party option, but this Trump party appears to be more of a 3rd party threat than the Libertarian party. Thoughts?
