Rant on some of the people who starred popping up here the past week or two.
Libertarianism- the belief that the government should be more hands off. Liberation…liberate…more freedom and shit. As you can imagine this is 2020. You say anything, someone will take it way too literally, often maliciously.
Where I am going with this…
You don’t have a free pass to defy the law cuz you don’t subscribe to the idea, of laws you don’t like, existing. Rosa Parks sitting on a bus, is not you bitching in a Wegmans to a 17yo.
There is a fine line you guys crossed a long time ago from fighting injustice, to blatant hypocrisy not thinking for yourself. We are not one government shutdown away from Nazi Germany. You’re not making us nut on freedom whenever we see this shit, Aight. Let me tell you what that isn’t.
-
That is not libertarianism.
-
That’s not radical libertarianism and we’re just not trying hard enough.
-
You’re not so woke that you went and created a new sect of libertarianism.
-
It’s toxic
Some people I see on here, I wonder how they didn’t just jump out their fucking window and die, thinking they could fly, after watching Peter Pan the first time. Some of you people…who take offense to this, and what I said above, yeah.
The rest, I imagine you know what I’m talking about. Random ass people (often conservatives, I ain’t gonna beat around the bush here and not name drop, cuz quite frankly this happens whenever one of their subs get banned for inciting violence) who pop up over here the moment they don’t like a law, either that, or they’re pissed off that their ideals aren’t the majority, and think by getting high on libertarianism for 5 min, they can convince themselves they don’t need to listen to anyone in charge of anything for shit.
We ain’t the fucking cast of Mad Max for hire, ready to topple the government the moment mask laws have made you hit your breaking point and flip out on a cashier. That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works. That’s not what libertarianism is about, and shouting it in a Wegmans to some 17yo while your kids cry in the corner won’t make your point any more convincing.
We are people who have genuine concerns about government. Of which, polarizing politics and idolizing politicians, are two of the big ones. Please, not so kindly, fuck off.
