Libertarian thoughts on 2k checks
First post, so cards on the table, I’m not a libertarian, I’m a leftist. Outside of stupid fights on social media, I actually believe we have a lot in common. Anyways, I was curious what your community thinks of the 2,000 dollar checks for US citizens. I understand a big tenant or libertarianism is that taxes are theft, which I don’t necessarily agree nor entirely disagree with. Would giving all people a check be akin to liberating what is perceived by many here as money stolen from them? Thoughts?
I love actual intelligent debate between factionalized groups, so please be respectful and you can expect the same from me. Take care y’all, happy new year.
