Role of the federal government in your opinion?
I understand most Libertarians would favor states’ rights and are pro-small government, but historically states have implemented not-so-libertarian policies until the federal government stepped in—that’s one of the reasons why blacks started favoring the Democratic party. So, should the federal government exist to protect citizens’ rights within respective states, or should that be the states’ job? How would we make sure that states don’t tread on their citizens’ rights themselves? How big is too big for government, even state governments?
