We (libertarians) need to take back the “progressive” label.

There is nothing more “progressive” than the concept of individual liberty, it’s a relatively new concept, whereas authoritarianism is the way of old and it truly is “regressive”. Anyone supporting an increase in scope of government power cannot in good faith call themselves “progressive”. Libertarianism is the most progressive ideology and we need to start calling ourselves progressives using the reasoning I listed above.
