The paradox of the conservatives
So I used to listen to Glenn Beck quite a bit, and this morning I watched him and one of his cohosts go after both the Washington Football Team and the Cleveland Indians for deciding to change their names. It’s funny when you look back around 2016 (haven’t really listened to Beck much since he went on the Trump wagon) saying that private businesses should be able to do whatever they want; whether that’s not baking a cake for a gay marriage or anything else.
And now as soon as they see a chance to use a private businesses decision to fuel the fire of their supporters they’re all about saying that business is just caving to white guilt.
I might be rambling here, but I feel like conservatives would have way more traction if they actually stuck to the idea of “hey it’s a private business, they can do what they want even if I don’t personally agree with it”
